Chippings on extremities and spine, stains on back wrapper, clean interior, overall a good copy. First and only edition of this extremely rare administrative report of Diyarbakir Province after the first census of the Republican Turkey. The 1927 Turkey census was held on 28 October 1927 and became the first census in the history of the Turkish Republic. This book contains administrative results reported according to the results of this census across Diyarbakir Province. The Vilayet of Diyarbakir was created in 1867. In 1867 or 1868, Mamuret-ul-Aziz and the Kurdistan Eyalet merged with and joined the Vilayet of Diyarbakir. In 1879-80 Mamuret-ul-Aziz was separated again from the Vilayet of Diyarbakir, and turned into the Vilayet of Mamuret-ul-Aziz. It was one of the six Armenian Vilayets of the Empire. About The Book:- This book is based on final report of I. C. M. R. project. It deals with most crucial problem in J&K, i.e. healthcare. Before 1989, the gender healthcare was not available fully , properly and satisfactory in urban, rural and hilly areas in the state. But, after 1989, even these meager gender healthcare facilities/service were seriously disturbed and the entire system was made non-functional. It was in the preceding context that this empirical study was carried out in 2012-13. The focus of this scientific study was to know about existing gender healthcare conditions, problems, facilities and services. While the impact of conflict on gender healthcare was assessed objectively , the reconstruction of this network was also analysed. This study is composed of eigth specific case studies of health centres in Kashmir which are [I] P .H.C. In Hazratbal, Srinagar [ii] P .H.C. in Khan Sahib, Budgam [iii] P .H.C. in Delina, Baramulla [iv] P .H.C. in Achhabal, Anantnag [v] I. C. D. S. in Kashmir [vi] N.R.H.M. in Kashmir [vii] Lal Ded Hospital in Srinagar [viii] Children’ s Hospital, Srinagar. The book stands for an empirical investigation of the negative as well as positive aspects of gender healthcare which needs to be rebuilt necessarily and immediately. This study has generated a lot of gender health statistics which will be of tremendous use for experts, researchers and academicians. About The Author:- Dr. B. A. Dabla (born 1954) is Professor and Founder Head, Department of Sociology , University of Kashmir , Srinagar , J&K. For some time in 2013-2014, he worked as Acting Vice Chancellor of the university. ABOUT THE AUTHOR:- The author has been teaching Under Graduate classes since 1994 and presently working as Associate Professor of Geography at Govt. College, Hansi (Hisar) Haryana. He did his M.Phil. and Ph.D. from Department of Geography, Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi. His area of interest is Development Studies. The title of his doctoral thesis was “Changing Patters and Determinants of Employment in House hold Manufacturing in India: 1961-1981” His five research papers have been published so far in the reputed research journals of India. He has completed two research projects till date. The first one entitled “Swarnjayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojana and Poverty Alleviation: A Case Study of Bawani Khera Block (Bhiwani) Haryana” was sponsored by the University Grants Commission. The second one entitled “Regional Disparities in Human Development in Haryana: A Spatio- Temporal Analysis, 2001-2011”, was sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research.
