Rechtshistorisches Gutachten des Zipser Historikers und Juristen Janós Bardossy über die Verpflichtung zur Leistung des katholischen Kirchenzehnter auch für reformierte Einwohner der heute in der Ostslowakei gelegenen Stadt Moldau an der Bodwa (slowak. Moldava, damals v.a. ung. Szepsi). – Inhalt, Autor: Janós Bardossy (slowak. Ján Bárdošy, 1738-1819), der das Jesuitengymnasium in Sopron besucht und an der Universität Wien studiert hatte, in der Folge hauptsächlich im Komitat Zips als Notar und Richter amtete und ab 1787 in Leutschau als Gymnasialdirektor in Leutschau und Historiker tätig war, verfasste vorliegendes Gutachten auf Ansuchen des katholischen Pfarrers der Stadt Moldau an der Bodwa, dem die Reformierten die Leistung des Kirchenzehnters verweigerten. 1802, als sich dieser Fall zutrug, war unter Franz II. gerade eine Rekatholisierung auch der über Jahrhunderte stark im Protestantismus verankerten Zips im Gange, die u.a. zur Wiederzulassung der unter Joseph II. aufgelassenen Orden der Benediktiner, Zisterzienser und Prämonstratenser führte. Vor diesem Hintergrund kam Bardossy auf Basis seiner Interpretation von 89, wovon 33 bis dahin ungedruckten historischen Quellen in vorliegender auf Latein verfassten Expertise zum erwartbaren Schluss, die Zehentleistung auch der Reformierten sei rechtens, und gab er den katholischen Pfarrern des Komitats damit eine Hilfestellung um diesen gerichtlich einzuklagen. – Erhaltung: Einband mit geringfügigen Kratzern, Buchblock an wenigen Stellen marginal fleckig, sonst wohlerhaltenes Exemplar im solide gearbeiteten neuen Handeinband schwedischer Provenienz. – Seltenheit: Äußerst selten im Handel, in den Auktionsverzeichnissen von JAP/APO und RBH findet sich kein Eintrag, lediglich ein einziges Exemplar kam seit 1906 zur Auktion (Stúdió Antikvárium, Budapest, 2002).
