Beverly Hills: A & M Records Inc. 1972. First edition. A&M SP3515. Double album with single leaf insert. INSCRIBED BY GROUCHO ON FRONT COVER in purple "To Barbara a good nurse and a nice woman / Groucho." It is likely the inscription is to Barbara Winger Bruner who worked for Marx in 1977 the final year of his life. This best-selling album was recorded at Carnegie Hall during Marx's last one-man show. The insert features a pictorial collage and "quotes" from celebrities including T. S. Eliot -- "Your portrait hangs on my wall next to W. B. Yeats. You are my most coveted pin-up. And I am your utmost admirer." A reference no doubt to the actual photograph of Groucho Eliot professed to have hung on his wall. In a letter to Groucho "Eliot assured Groucho that one of the signed photographs now hung on a wall in his office 'with other famous friends such as W. B. Yeats and Paul Valery.' " -- Lee Siegel "The Fraught Friendship of T. S. Eliot and Groucho Marx"; The New Yorker June 25 2014. Fine. A & M Records Inc. unknown
