Full mottled French calf dual spine labels raised spine bands gilt decorated compartments marbled edges and endpapers. Most likely original or at least contemporary bindings. Expected external wear including quite a bit of rubbing to the extremities all lower spine labels absent three upper spine labels absent some rubbing and light chipping to the joints but all joints secure and text blocks sound no loosened pages. Pages clean with almost no foxing no names or other markings. Some pastedowns have lifted from the covers readily repairable but nicely showing the some of the early vellum manuscript fragments used in the binding process. Volumes 7 and 12 have some light-colored dampstains throughout most of the contents. A worn but attractive set internally near very good. Hard Cover. Good. 16mo 16.5 cm tall.
