In these records the original proprietor is named by whom the land is presently being claimed reason for change of title purchase of inheritance nature and extent of claim and if the claim was disallowed the reason for disallowance. Queste famiglie, vecchie e nuove, costituirono per secoli l'ossatura politica, sociale ed economica della città di Cherasco.

Un diario ritrovato tra le carte di famiglia che Gabriella scrive, con molte lunghe pause, dal giorno dell'entrata in guerra dell'Italia nel giugno del 1940 ai giorni dell'occupazione alleata della città di Ancona nel luglio del 1944. La guerra, prima lontana, fa giungere echi sinistri ma poi, dopo l'8 settembre del '43, con l'occupazione tedesca, il passaggio del fronte e i bombardamenti alleati, piomba con tutta la sua drammaticità nelle vite degli Anconitani, infliggendo lutti e privazioni. Gabriella senza saperlo ci disegna la sua visione disincantata del quotidiano, sospesa tra la tragedia e i problemi comuni agli adolescenti di sempre.
