His unit was sent in 1779 to Penobscot Bay Maine where they remained until January 1784 at which time the unit withdrew to Halifax once more. James had married Lucy Staples in Maine just before evacuation and they settled in St. Andrews Charlotte County New Brunswick when he accepted his discharge later that year. Capt. Nehemiah Marks a native of Derby Connecticut withdrew to Nova Scotia when the British Army left the United States. There he got a land grant in St. Andrews New Brunswick for himself and other United Empire Loyalists one of his sons married a Hannah daughter. Includes a list of these Loyalists and their families. Some Hannah descendants later immigrated to New England California and else- where in the United States . self published, Paperback
