Ho già scritto un centinaio di pagine su quest'uomo che mi affascina. Vorrei farlo conoscere ai miei compatrioti e ci riuscirò! T.E.L. mi interessa profondamente perché arriva a conclusioni simili alle mie con un temperamento e per dei percorsi opposti ai miei. Everithing that is, is holy, tutte le cose che esistono sono sacre, come pensava Blake». Pubblicato in patria in quello stesso anno e poi in Inghilterra e in Francia nel 1947, 338171 T.E appare ora per la prima volta in traduzione italiana e per quanto nel mezzo secolo abbondante che ci separa da quella prima uscita la bibliografia intorno a Lawrence sia cresciuta a dismisura, insieme con la revisione storica sulla sua figura e sulla «rivolta araba», l'analisi dell'Ocampo mantiene una freschezza, frutto di un intuito squisitamente femminile, e una profondità che ne fanno un piccolo classico. «Forse il suo torto fu di crogiolarsi nel rifiuto. Ma possiamo chiamare torto ciò che senza dubbio fu il suo dharma? Come quella di Arjuna sul campo di battaglia, la sua anima era sgomenta. Niente poteva dissipare l'ansia che la paralizzava. Licenses issued by John and/or Benning Wentworth from 1742 through 1776 are listed as well as licenses given in the state from 1709 until 1911 and some special licenses which were issued from 1921 through 1961 giving permission for out-of-state ministers to perform marriages in New Hampshire. Also included are transcriptions of records from Concord Jaffrey and Stratham covering the years 1791 to 1860 which arrived at the State Archives in 1991. In general the records include the name of the bride and groom their residences the date of the intention or marriage and for the out-of-state ministers the ministers' names and residences. .
