Due opere legate in un volume, in-4 piccolo. legatura novecentesca in mezza pergamena con punta. Si tratta in ambedue i casi della sole parti pubblicate, rarissime. Tuttavia i due titoli sono scompleti: al prima manca - rispetto alla descrizione in ICCU - un allbero genealogico f.t.; al secondo i fascicoli χ2 e 2χ2: 4 carte che contenevano rispettivamente: "Privilegium Romanum comiti Iacobo Zabarellae [...] concessum" e "Privilegium Bononiense sive restitutio facta [...] comiti Iacobo Zabarellae", entrambi con proprio frontespizio.

Molte volte non consideriamo questo aspetto, invece molto importante, dato che "nel nostro passato è scritto il nostro futuro". Un popolo non può stare senza memoria. E neppure senza radici. È solo conoscendo il passato e tramandandolo a coloro che verranno dopo di noi che si potrà sopravvivere nel ricordo e nell'esempio. Una ricerca genealogica condotta con l'esplorazione di archivi vari, documenti personali, fotografie magari dimenticate da tempo contribuisce senz'altro a questo. È ciò che si è prefisso l'Autore di quest'opera: parlare dei propri antenati, presenti oramai solo nel ricordo, rendendo le loro azioni ancora attuali attraverso la narrazione di quanto fecero.

Il libro contestualizza le vicende di questi gruppi famigliari, descrivendo il loro inserimento nella capitale lombarda. L'economia, la scuola e la vita sociale sono il contesto milanese in cui matura l'affermazione di queste famiglie, allineate senza riserve alle scelte del regime, almeno fino alla tragedia delle leggi razziali e della guerra che scoppia poco dopo. Con una prefazione di Luigi Ganapini e una nota milanese di Alberto Mattioli.
