Collotype is one of the most accurate and attractive methods of photomechanical tonal printing processes. Highly skilled and expensive process it cannot produce more than a limited number of impressions. It has been used for single-sheet prints and luxury portfolios and since the One of the plates here is printed in coloured collotype an exceptionally complicated process which consequently is seldom used in book production. The exquisite plate is finished by hand. Beinlich-Seeber 10833. ~Librarium of The Hague offers the largest and finest collection of Egyptological offprint monographs in the rare book market.
