‎Summary This volume brings together an international and interdisciplinary host of scholars to reflect on the complicated legacies of exploration at the archaeological site of Dura-Europos, situated on the western bank of the Euphrates River near modern Salihiyeh (Syria). A chance discovery after World War I kicked off a series of excavations that would span the next century and whose finds are today housed in collections worldwide, including the Yale University Art Gallery, the Louvre, and the National Museum in Damascus. Dura-Europos exemplifies a multiethnic frontier town at the crossroads of major trade routes. Its textual remains and remarkably-preserved Christian, Jewish, and polytheist religious sanctuaries provide key resources for the study of antiquity and attest to the cross-cultural interconnectivity that was demonstrably central to the ancient world but which has been too often obscured by Eurocentric historiographic traditions and siloed disciplinary divisions. Foreign-run, large-scale archaeological campaigns of the early twentieth century, like those at Dura-Europos, have created narratives of power and privilege that often exclude local communities. The significance of these imbalances is entangled with the destruction the site has experienced since the 2011 outbreak of conflict in Syria. As a step toward making knowledge descendant of early excavations more accessible, this volume includes Arabic summaries of each paper, following up on the simultaneous Arabic interpretation provided at the 2022 hybrid conference whose proceedings form the core of this publication. The papers address topics connected to essential themes in relation to Dura-Europos: long-distance trade relations and cross-border interactions in antiquity, including the exchange of technologies, people, and materials; Christianity, Judaism, and other religious practices, and their relations to one another; contemporary trafficking of looted artifacts; cultural heritage and the Islamic State; and the evolving role of museum collections, technologies, and archival materials for research. ‎Summary This monograph presents the first comprehensive study of 1,759 silver and bronze coins minted by the kings of Idalion (161 coins) and Kition (1,598 coins) in Cyprus, spanning from the late 6th to the late 4th century BC. The largest corpus of these coins yet assembled - classified through a die study - is accompanied by a full metrological and typological analysis of all denominations issued under each king. A synthetic study follows, addressing weight variations, production volume, iconography, hoard evidence, overstrikes, and countermarks. The historical chapters contextualise the numismatic material in relation to ancient texts, inscriptions, and archaeological data, examining the numismatic policies of the kings from Persian to Macedonian control, culminating to the dissolution of the kingdom of Kition (and Idalion) by Ptolemy in 313/2?BC. ‎Summary In recent years, archaeologists working at Norse sites across the North Atlantic have excavated a number of very small churches with cemeteries, often associated with individual farms. Such sites seem to be a characteristic feature of early ecclesiastical establishments in Norse settlements around the North Atlantic, and they stand in marked contrast to church sites elsewhere in Europe. But what was the reason behind this phenomenon? From Greenland to Denmark, and from Ireland to the Hebrides, Iceland, and Norway, this volume presents a much-needed overview of small church studies from around the North Atlantic. The chapters gathered here discuss the different types of evidence for small churches and early ecclesiastical landscapes, review existing debates, and develop a synthesis that places the small churches in a broader context. Ultimately, despite the varied types of data at play, the contributions to this volume combine to offer a more coherent picture of the small church phenomenon, pointing to a church that was able to answer the needs of a newly converted population despite the lack of an established infrastructure, and throwing new light on how people lived and worshipped in an environment of dispersed settlements. Ce collier, qui est un des objets sacr s d'Hathor, porte galement le nom de l'entit divine du m me nom, forme d'Hathor de Dendara et d'Edfou dont cette tude fait l'objet. En tant que forme d'Hathor, quels sont les termes, les parures, les actions, la gestuelle, qui pouvaient la diff rencier de la grande Hathor, si toutefois cela est envisageable, ces deux divinit s tant intimement associ es ? Une partie de cette recherche porte sur l' tude de la chapelle du collier-menit. Les textes et les pith tes de la d esse ont t ici analys s d'un point de vue stylistique afin d'essayer de comprendre la d marche des hi rogrammates et la raison d' tre d'une telle chapelle d di e Hathor la Menit, sachant que pour les deux autres formes secondaires d'Hathor : Hathor-chef-du-grand-si ge et Hathor-uraeus , il n'en existe point.
