Contains programs for Right is Might by Pedro Calderon de la Barca featuring Leo Ditrichstein at the Lyric Theatre; and Give and Take by Aaron Hoffman featuring Louis Mann and George Sidney at the Adelphi Theatre. Aaron Hoffman 1880-1924 was an American lyricist popular with vaudeville comedians. George Sidney 1877-1945 was a vaudeville comic and uncle of the film director of the same name. Give and Take was filmed in 1928 as Universal's second sound film with Sidney in the same role but Mann's role was taken by Jean Hersholt. Scarce. Skating Vanities - The First Musical Extravaganza on Wheels Roller Skating Show Souvenir Program
Book. Fair. Soft cover. The cover has come loose from the staples but is present. A good bit of wear to the spine and edges. Contains pictures of the performers and two-page spread on the scenes and personalities. The show was presented by Harold Steinman and staged and directed by Gae Foster. The rear cover shows the touring schedule for the show calling it "the nation's newest entertainment thrill." This offers a clue to the publication date which isn't indicated in the program. The inaugural year of "Skating Vanities" was 1942 and this program is believed to be from that first year. 12 pages with pictures credits and schedule. 0. Paperback
