Briefkopf des "Deutschen Volkstheater in Wien". - Bukovics von Kiss Alacska war Sekretär und Dramaturg am Theater in der Wiener Josefstadt, Mitarbeiter einiger Wiener Zeitungen und Korrespondent für mehrere Pariser Blätter, ehe er sich nach dem Vorbild seines Bruders Karl (der 1880 die Leitung des Wiener Stadttheaters übernommen hatte) verstärkt dem Theater zuwandte, literarischer Vertreter des Wiener Hoftheaters in Paris wurde und für das Burgtheater Stücke aus dem Französischen übersetzte. Mit der Eröffnung des Deutschen Volkstheaters in Wien wurde er 1889 dessen erster Direktor; unter seiner bis 1905 dauernden Leitung wurden u. a. Werke von Ibsen, Raimund und Nestroy uraufgeführt.

An einen namentlich nicht genannten Adressaten: "Ihr Schreiben vom 9 d M ist mir verspätet erst am 12ten zugekommen, ich bitte daher zu entschuldigen wenn ich erst heute den unterfertigten Contrakt einsende da ich gestern Direktor Wilbrandt nicht sprechen konnte. Ich habe nun zur Zeit Urlaub und übersende den Contrakt mit der Kleinen Änderung con 100 fl Kosten im Stadttheater welche Sie so gütig waren mir in Ihrem Arbeitszimmer zu zugestehen. Ich betonte die hohen Kosten und Sie meinten Sie thäten es auch für 100 fl […] Ich lege ein Repertoire bei und bitte mir recht bald mitzutheilen für welche Stücke Sie sich entscheiden […]". - Bukovics bildete bei Richard Levy seine Tenorstimme aus. An die namentlich nicht genannte Schauspielerin Louise Schönfeld-Neumann (1818-1905), Tochter des Schauspielerehepaars Karl Neumann und Amalie Haizinger: "Hochgeehrte Frau Gräfin werden gütigst entschuldigen daß ich Sie mit diesen Zeilen belästige. Ich habe für Sie als Sie noch der Bühne angehörten geschwärmt und oft nach Wien gefahren um Sie in dieser oder jener Rolle zu bewundern; in Pesth als Frau Gräfin mit Ihrer hochgeehrten Mutter gastirten, wurde ich mit 10 Gulden bestraft da ich mich krank stellte um nicht selbst spielen zu müssen und Abend in's Theater gehen zu können um Sie als ‚Lorle' zu bewundern. Schon seit Jahren war mein sehnlichster Wunsch mein Ideal einmal sprechen zu können, im vorigen Jahre hatte ich das Unglück Sie nicht zu treffen, ich bin jetzt wahrscheinlich zum Letztenmale in Gratz, erlauben Sie mir hochgeehrte Frau dass ich Ihnen meine Huldigung darbringe, dies würde meine schönste Erinnerung sein welche ich aus Gratz mitnehme […]". - Auf Briefpapier mit gepr. Monogramm. - Die Tochter eines Siebenbürger Schauspielers erhielt die erste Ausbildung bei ihrem Vater, war 1847-49 Tänzerin und Soubrette in Klausenburg und spielte 1849-60 in tragischen Rollen in Pest, wandte sich dann jedoch verstärkt den deutschen Bühnen zu. Sie erlernte Rollen in deutscher Sprache und wurde nach einem von Herzog Ernst von Coburg-Gotha befürworteten Versuchsgastspiel in Gotha ans Hoftheater in Dresden engagiert. Auf Gastspielreisen brillierte Lilla Bulyovszky am Wiener Burgtheater als Maria Stuart und am Berliner Hoftheater als Emilia Galotti. 1857-71 wurde sie ans Hoftheater in München engagiert. Sie schrieb Novellen in ungarischer Sprache sowie Übersetzungen und Bearbeitungen für die deutsche Bühne.
