To the couture house Chanel and their partner, the shoemaker Raymond Massaro (1929-2019), requesting that her costume be delivered by 28 February 1978: "Je vous prie d'etre sur que mon costume sera livre au plus tard que [stricken out] le 28 Fevrier 78. [...] M. Maasaro 'Les bottes' aussi le 28 Fevrier". - On March 3 and 4, Dietrich's legendary scene with David Bowie in the movie "Just a Gigolo" was filmed in Paris. This scene, in which she sings the title song, was her final film appearance, and she subsequently withdrew to her Paris apartment. Her costume was designed by Max Goldstein ("Mago", 1925-2008) and was tailored by Chanel and Massaro gefertigt. - Signed in green felt pen, as usual. A few creases. Includes four black-and-white costume photos from Chanel's 1982/83 winter collection.

1 S. 4to. Blanko unterfertigtes Schriftstück an das k. k. Hofzahlamt betr. einer Provision für die Witwe des "verstorbenen Obstträgers der k. k. Orangerie und Hoflustobstgartens Franz Resch". - Anfangs als Artillerieoffizier an den Feldzügen am Rhein, in den Niederlanden sowie in Bayern teilnehmend, wurde Dietrichstein 1798 Adjutant General Macks bei der neapolitanischen Armee und geriet mit dieser auf der Rückreise nach Österreich in französische Gefangenschaft (bis 1800). Anschließend den Dienst quittierend, um sich der Förderung von Kunst und Wissenschaft zu widmen, wußte er sein Haus als einen der geistigen Mittelpunkte Wiens zu gestalten, wo u. a. Beethoven und Heinrich Joseph von Collin verkehrten. 1815-31 übertrug ihm der Kaiser die Erziehung des Herzogs von Reichstadt. Daneben wirkte er seit 1819 als Hofmusikgraf, komponierte auch selbst, übernahm 1821-26 die Hoftheaterdirektion und führte eine Reihe von Verwaltungsreformen durch. Weiters war Dietrichstein als Präfekt der Hofbibliothek, als Oberleiter des Münz- und Antikenkabinetts sowie als Oberstkämmerer Ferdinands I. und zugleich Intendant des Hofburgtheaters, das er bis 1848 leitete, tätig.

Beiliegend eine weitere Kabinettphotographie im selben Format mit dem Brustbild eines namentlich nicht identifizierten Schauspielerkollegen. Dankt für eine wohlgesonnene Besprechung, trifft Verabredungen und berichtet von einem neuen Engagement: “Leichten Herzens stieg ich in Stettin ans Land und stellte mich meinem Direktor vor, der mich gleich mit einem Vorschuß empfing. Unvergeßlich bleibt mir die schöne blaue Ostsee” (undat. Br. o. O.). - Die Kabinettphotographie aus dem Hause Krziwanek, Wien und Ischl, zeigt die im Jahr darauf verstorbene Schauspielerin im Brustbild en face; die etwas kleinere Gruppenphotographie zeigt sie inmitten ihrer Kollegen (unter denen sich auch der nicht identifizierte Schauspieler befindet, der auf der beiliegenden Photographie zu sehen ist) und hinter einem Schild mit der Aufschrift “Saison 1894 | Josefstadt | Letzte Station | Hütteldorf”. - Das Vertragsfragment mit einer weiteren eh. U. des Schriftstellers und Theaterdirektors Heinrich Laube. - Ludmilla Dietz trat in jungen Jahren als jugendliche Liebhaberin im Theater in der Josefstadt, später in Graz, Budapest und Brünn und als Soubrette u. a. in dem von Josephine Gallmeyer geleiteten Stampfer-Theater auf; 1884-94 war sie erneut im Theater in der Josefstadt, nunmehr jedoch als komische Alte, zu sehen. Nach ihren ersten Erfolgen 1866-69 als Mitglied des Kölner Opernhauses wurde sie an das Deutsche Landestheater in Prag engagiert, wo sie bis 1872 auf der Bühne stand. 1872 erhielt sie erneut ein Engagement an der Wiener Hofoper, gab daneben zahlreiche Gastspiele u.a. in Berlin und Stuttgart und nahm 1885 Abschied von der Bühne.

Volume with darkened gutters at front and rear hinge from binder's high acid glue light taps to bottom corners. An einen Autor: “Das von Euer Wohlgeboren [...] eingereichte Lustspiel ‘Damen und Husaren’ ist von der Direction und dem Regie-Collegium [...] mit aller Aufmerksamkeit gelesen, zur Annahme und Aufführung auf dem k. k. Hofburgtheater jedoch nicht geeignet befunden worden [...]”. Bei dem angesprochenen Lustspiel handelt es sich wohl um eine dte. Bearbeitung des gleichnamigen Dramas des polnischen Grafen Aleksander Fredro, die bibliographisch nicht nachzuweisen ist. - Dingelstedt wurde 1867 als Hofoperndirektor und 1870 als Direktor des Wiener Burgtheaters bestellt, “das unter seiner Leitung eine Blütezeit erlebte” (Czeike II, 38). “Er hat der Burg alles gegeben, was der Zeitgeschmack und das Publikum wünschten [...]” (Haeusserman, Das Wiener Burgtheater, 50).
