Adorned with delicate ornaments in green, black and gold, carried out by Berthold Löffler (1874-1960), a Viennese artist of the Vienna Secession and the Wiener Werkstätte. The work describes Klimt's wide-ranging talents, addresses the fierce criticism levelled against the artist for his non-conventional style, then deemed pornographic, and includes a description of the author's personal favourite painting, "Judith" (1901). - Extremities very slightly bumped.

3½ SS. auf Doppelblatt. Gr.-8vo. An Direktor Zoppetti. - In der Zeitschrift "la Scena" habe er von der äußerst schlechten Lage des Künstlers Antonio Pappadopoli erfahren. In dem Artikel werde an die Barmherzigkeit der Künstler appelliert, weswegen er anbei eine kleine Spende für den armen alten Pappadopoli schicke. Diese sei eher symbolisch zu verstehen, da er jeden Tag mit solchen Bitten bedrängt werde und diesen nur teilweise nachkommen könne: "[…] la mia lieve offerta, la quale di poco potrà alleviare la sua situazione, non intendo largire ma sibbene farmi quasi promotore ad una sottoscrizione, che spero, potrà essere di qualche sollievo al misero artista [...]." - Mit seiner eigenen Schauspieltruppe vielerorts Gastspiele gebend, trat Salvini "nicht nur in Paris, auch in Portugal, Spanien, England, ja in Nord- und Südamerika, auch in Wien und Berlin [...] mit glänzendem Erfolg auf.
