New York: Christie's 2004. This is a near fine softcover copy with virtually no wear. Very clean inside and out but one tiny handstamp on the front cover from a major New York museum. This is a sale catalog for an auction held at Christie's New York on December 8 2004. The sale included an extraordinary group of furniture designed by Pierre Chareau and acquired by Therese Bonney in the 1920's and 30's. Bonney was studying in Paris in the early 20's she would become only the 4th American woman to receive a PhD from the Sorbonne. She set up a news service in Paris that communicated mainly in photographs. The sale also contained Greene & Greene carved redwood wall paneling sections and a Frank Lloyd Wright 'Butterfly' hanging lamp. 107 lots in the sale. Prices realized sheet included.
