Una delle prime XXV copie (esemplare XI) con firma autografa dell'autore, incisione originale firmata e numerata e dedica autografa dello stesso autore ma con il vero nome “Francesco” ad un noto critico d'arte e alla sua compagna. Prima edizione arricchita dalla bellissima e rara tavola di questa monografia dedicata all'opera del grande scultore nato a Teana (Potenza) nel 1920 e morto a Parigi, dove risiedeva da tempo, nel 2012. Marino emigrò in Argentina all'età di 16 anni e qui iniziò a lavorare come muratore. Ma ben presto fu palese la sua grande intelligenza tanto che nel giro di poco tempo si trovò promosso a capo cantiere in importanti opere architettoniche. Nel frattempo studiava alla scuola di Belle Arti di Buenos Aires (dove avrebbe poi anche insegnato. Nel 1954 si stabilì a Parigi dove iniziò a presentare le sue sculture astratte monumentali che gli aprirono la strada del successo. Nel 1976 il Museo d'Arte Moderna di Parigi gli dedicò una retrospettiva. Oggi è un artista conosciuto e apprezzato in tutto il mondo. Perfetto stato di conservazione, una delle rarissime copie personalizzate stampata nel dicembre del 1990 (le altre copie furono stampate nel 1991). All'interno presente un foglietto di appunti del noto critico d'arte a cui è dedicata l'opera nel foglio di sguardia. Importante apparato grafico dell'opera di Marino di Teana. Perfetto stato di conservazione.

As they were very much dependent on commissions, they had to travel to provide for their revenues. While abroad, they were nonetheless expected to represent their nation and showcase their e essays in this collection reflect upon the theoretical and practical implications of the many aspects of transnationality, travel and (cultural) mobility for nineteenth-century sculptors, their work and their careers, by addressing the role of, among others, education, execution, commissions, exhibitions, art criticism and the art market. The main focus is on French, Belgian and Italian sculptors and their works but other countries are represented too, and well-known as well as lesser-known sculptors, through general articles and case studies. Tom Verschaffel is professor in cultural history at KU Leuven. His research concerns the intellectual and cultural history of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, and more specifically the history of historical writing, the popular representation of history and cultural nationalism, the history of cultural infrastructure and of cultural transfers. Art historian Marjan Sterckx is associate professor in Art History at Ghent University, where she recently launched the research group ThIS: The Inside Story: Art, Interior design & architecture 1750-1950. Her research concerns the intersections between sculpture, gender, photography and the interior.
