Olivier Theyskens : She Walks in Beauty
Hardcover, 240 pages, 160 Colour Photographs, English, 300 x 220 mm, new state, with dustjacket, ISBN 9780847862467. Olivier Theyskens s refined sensibilities earned him international acclaim as the dark prince of late 1990s couture. From his first saturnine collections, to his new vision for Rochas, to his patterns and textiles at Nina Ricci, to his years designing for Theyskens Theory, the designer has proved himself a master of couture, semi-couture, and pret-a-porter. Celebrated for his fine tailoring, romantic silhouettes, and gothic palette, Theyskens transforms each house he helms. This distinctive volume charts the twenty-year development of an extraordinary aesthetic vision, rendered across countries, cultures, and the shifting sands of the fashion landscape. Newly commissioned texts connect the threads of the Belgian-born artist s diverse practice. Drawings created for the publication accompany photography from each period of his career. At both Rochas and Nina Ricci, the designer crafted ethereal garments with unorthodox silhouettes, mixing sheer fabrics and old-world bustles with subtly subversive punk elements. Theyskens then broke ground in 2011 with his trailblazing partnership, Theyskens Theory. With a special focus on the designer s return to the runway at the head of his own line, this is the definitive work on a fashion visionary who, like the girls he designs for, changes form, but walks in beauty wherever he goes.

Brigitte Bardot : My life in fashion
Hardcover, 254 pages, English, 200 x 280 mm, book is in new state, dust jacket, . ISBN 9782080202697. Legendary actress Brigitte Bardot led fashion revolutions throughout her career; this retrospective includes BB's comments on her iconic style in a rare, intimate interview. Brigitte Bardot is a style icon whose legacy has undeniably shaped the face of fashion as we know it. Discovered by a magazine editor at only 14 years old, she found fame and admiration on the big screen in the 1950s, and then became the fiery sex symbol of the groovy and liberated 1960s. Over the course of her career, all of the great French designers-including Christian Dior, Pierre Balmain, and Pierre Cardin-outfitted Bardot on and off screen. In photographs that capture her attending prestigious receptions or on glamorous visits to the United States, in fashion shoots and on film sets, this volume illustrates all the key looks that BB wore and brought to the international spotlight as she invented and edited her own highly imitated style. In an extensive-and extremely rare-interview, accompanied by her personal comments on the photos, Bardot explains the context of the often vanguard fashions she wore, making headlines wherever she went. Evoking French style and the glamor of St. Tropez, her legacy endures-from ballerina slippers with sweeping skirts to figure-hugging knitwear, gingham fabrics and gypsy dresses, kohl eyeliner and tousled hair.

Marleen Daniëls - Sarajevo to Paris FASHION!
Hardcover, 816 pages, full color. 27,6 x 21 x 7cm. ISBN 9789077207925. Sarajevo to Paris fashion Sarajevo to Paris, fashion or reportage, deciding on the title of a book is mind-boggling. I call myself a documentary photographer that accidentally ended up doing fashion. The end of the '80s was an interesting and intense time in world history, and a particularly creative time in the world of fashion. As a young female photographer I was interested in both worlds. I was travelling for newspapers and magazines to the fashion weeks in Milan and Paris and to the conflict zones of Lebanon and Iraq. It was during the war in the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and the siege of Sarajevo that I matured in documentary photography, fortunately without being injured. Thirty years later, when looking back, those two worlds ? documentary and fashion ? still define my work. Both are equally represented in my archives. This book, of my fashion work, is the first to be published. I called it Sarajevo to Paris because sometimes I would travel directly from one to the other. These two cities had a big impact on my life. Marleen Daniëls, May 2021 ISOMO - YAMAMOTO / VIKTOR & ROLF / OLIVIER THYSKENS / DRIE VAN NOTEN /

Opening with an essay on the designer's work, John Galliano: Unseen unfolds chronologically. Thirty collections are included, each introduced by a short text by Claire Wilcox, revisiting the designer's most iconic creations and revealing previously unseen behind-the-scenes moments that capture models, hairdressers, stylists, makeup artists and John Galliano himself at their most creative. Robert Fairer's stunning and high-energy photographs capture the glamour and frenzy that defined Galliano's shows. A treasure-trove of inspiration, they make this publication a must-have reference for fashion and photography lovers alike

Opening with an essay on the designer's work, Marc Jacobs: Unseen unfolds chronologically, revisiting the designer's most iconic creations and revealing previously unseen behind-the-scenes moments of models, hairdressers, stylists, make-up artists and Marc Jacobs himself at their most creative. CATWALK: CHLOÉ : The Complete Collections

The first comprehensive overview of Chloé's collections presented through catwalk photography, published in collaboration with Chloé to celebrate the house's 70th anniversary in 2022. Founded by Egyptian-born Gaby Aghion in 1952, Chloé pioneered luxury ready-to-wear that was all about ease and femininity, offering an elegant haute bohemian style for the modern, liberated Parisienne. Resolutely contemporary, the house spotted and hired a young Karl Lagerfeld as early as the 1960s: he stayed for over two decades, achieving fame and recognition worldwide through his Chloé work, before Stella McCartney (and her then assistant Phoebe Philo) succeeded him straight out of fashion school. This definitive publication opens with a concise history of the house of Chloé before exploring the collections themselves, which are organized chronologically. Each new era in Chloé's history opens with a brief overview and biography of the new designer, while individual collections are introduced by a short text unveiling their influences and highlights, and illustrated with carefully curated catwalk images. A rich reference section, including an extensive index, concludes the book. After Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Yves Saint Laurent, Prada, Vivienne Westwood and Versace, Chloé is the eighth in a series of high-end, cloth-bound books that offer an unrivalled overview of the collections of the world's top fashion houses through original catwalk photography.

Deboutonner La Mode
Hardcover, 164 pages, Texte en Francais , Tres belle exemplaire , 275 x 215 x 20 mm, illustrations en couleur / n/b. ISBN 9782916914541.
