Philadelphia PA: The Pennsylvania Museum and School of Industrial Art 1906. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Good/None. 28 pages. Navy colored cloth library binding with gilt library numbers on the upper and letters on the spine. The binding shows very minimal shelf wear. The original title page has been torn loose but is still present. No. 6 in the Ceramic Series of Art Primer for the Pennsylvania Museum and School of Industrial Art. On the front paste down and ffep is a library stamp.The back fep also has library stamps. The back paste down has residue from the library card holder and an inked number near the top hinge. The title page is loose from the binding and has numberous chips along the fore-edge. The printer's imprint page has scratched out library identification numbers. Page 3 is separated from the binding with a 3 1/4 inch tear at the bottom and a 1 inch tear at the top. There is an ink blotch in the last paragraph of the text but it doesn't obliterate the text. Page 5/6 also has a 3 inch tear along the bottom binding edge and a ragged tear along the central fore-edge.The paper throughout is age stained; black and white photographs are printed on slick glossy paper. Page 21/22 and the slick page after it have a one inch by one-quarter inch chip from the upper right edge.The pieces are however; contained in the book. Page25 also has a library stamp on the lower margin. At the end of the book before the Index page is a fold out which charts the Recapitulation of Principal Features of Salt Glazed Stoneware".
