See photos for condition details: hardcover olive green cloth boards with attractive gilt on front gilt text on spine. The exterior shows scuffing and soiling along with edge and corner bumps/wear. The internal binding at the boards is good but there is some pulling in areas along with thin cracks such as at page 328 where you can see some of the webbing peeking through. Most of the page binding is good though. Both front and rear and pages and pastedowns show various 19th century advertisements as does additional and pages. The paper is toned due to age and there are smudge marks present as well as numerous pages that have chips/crimps/tears in the upper outside corners. This can be seen on the title page and preface page images provided with this listing. The preface page crimp/tear appears to be the worst one. Some foxing is also present.
