This includes statements and testimonials from participants. Perhaps better known as the Gaspee affair which was an important moment in American history leading up to the Revolutionary War. Colonists in Rhode Island raided and burned the ship after it had become stranded in the Narragansett Bay. This was undertaken due to unpopular taxes and actions by the British government that hurt the maritime trade in the area both legal and illegal trade with the aftermath of this leading to a more cohesive movement against British authority. GOOD condition ex-theological library. Call numbers in white on the spine bookplates pastedowns and interior library markings present. Minor fading soiling scuffing and edgewear.
