‎Murder can't wait; a Captain Heimrich mystery.‎

‎Lippincott Philadelphia ©1964 1964. Book Club Edition . Hardcover. Fine/Very Good. Book club edition 189 pages 22 cm ; LCCN 4022180 OCLC 987752540 LC PS3523.O245 Dewey 813.52 ; textured bright green cloth with color pictorial dustjacket ; spine sunned; ; the 16th book of 23 in the Captain Heimrich series ;. M. L. Heimrich of the New York State Police may not have the flash of hard-boiled city detectives but there's no lead the intrepid investigator won't follow until his every hunch is satisfied .Lt. Nathan Shapiro of the NYPD would rather be anywhere else than rural New York investigating lawyer Stuart Fleming's claims of bribes and point-shaving schemes involving football players at Dyckman University. He's a city cop and the country makes him nervous. When he arrives at the headquarters of New York State Police Troop K Shapiro's day goes from bad to worse as Captain Heimrich informs him that Fleming's been shot dead. Now with a homicide on their hands the city lieutenant and the country captain must get in the game and investigate the crime together. As they dig into the scandal Shapiro and Heimrich uncover more than some football dirty dealings. Seems there's an entire gambling racket that won't hesitate to tackle any problems with unnecessary roughness .Murder Can't Wait is the 16th book in the Captain Heimrich Mysteries but you may enjoy reading the series in any order. ;"Under the steady hand of old pro Lockridge this culminates in a murder that requires imaginative police treatment." -Kirkus Reviews; Frances Louise Lockridge January 10 1896 - February 17 1963 and Richard Orson Lockridge September 26 1898 in St. Joseph Missouri - June 19 1982 in Tryon North Carolina were American writers of detective fiction. ‎September Song‎

‎N.p.: Vandal Publications for Gear 1966. Poster poem offset lithograph 58x45cm. Very good with pinholes and wear at corners some toning to edges and a few light scuffs and smudges. Psychedelic poster-poem from one of the pioneers of the genre English poet Christopher Logue 1926-2011. Logue produced the first of these poems with designer Germano Facetti in 1958 which was titled "To My Fellow Artists" and would go on to produce several more in collaboration with other artists the posters mainly reflecting his pacifist beliefs. The image on this poster is of infamous outlaw Rube Burrow who was shot dead while attempting an escape from jail in Marengo County Alabama in 1890. The poem was later set to music as "Be Not Too Hard" by Joan Baez and appeared on her album "Joan" in 1967. Vandal Publications for Gear unknown‎

‎Lonati Maddalena; Rocco D. (cur.)‎

‎Memorie preziose‎

‎ill., br.
