brossura Questo volume, giunto alla seconda edizione, pone base sul presupposto che realizzare un edificio ad energia zero ed elevato comfort ambientale non significa ragionare in termini di centimetri di coibente, né di mere tematiche "impiantistiche" (rilevanti, ma in seconda battuta). Liberato il campo dai molti retaggi di una concezione obsoleta, un edificio ad energia zero si sviluppa attraverso un'efficace opera di "progettazione integrata" tra i differenti contributi tecnici, e nasce come tale fin nelle prime intuizioni del progettista edile-architettonico, il quale oggi è dunque ben consapevole delle buone pratiche poste alla base della realizzazione di un involucro edilizio efficiente. Sulle caratteristiche architettoniche e tecniche dell'involucro, infatti, "si gioca" in modo significativo la capacità di un edificio di minimizzare la propria domanda energetica, domanda che, solo in tal maniera, sarà possibile soddisfare con energia tratta (in larga misura, se non al 100%) da fonti rinnovabili, in linea con la "storica" Direttiva 2010/31/UE, implementata dalla non men nota 2018/844. L'autore ha inteso tracciare un percorso organico, volutamente inclusivo - nel linguaggio, nell'approccio metodologico, nell'attenzione posta a non dare "per scontate" innumerevoli nozioni di fisica e tecnologia - dal quale possa desumere interessanti spunti il professionista già esperto come lo studente agli esordi. Il lettore troverà esposte con chiarezza tutte le riflessioni (di tipo fisico, costruttivo, funzionale, anche morfologico) che devono guidare le sue scelte progettuali, le possibili alternative, le inferenze con altri "anelli" della catena progettuale, tesa tra il concept architettonico e l'esecuzione di un fabbricato confortevole ed efficiente. Si tratta di un compendio dalla vocazione altamente pratica. È secondo questo spirito che il volume integra (chiaramente aggiornato all'odierna release rispetto alla passata edizione) un breve e inedito tutorial del software di calcolo energetico ProCasaClima, quale strumento di progetto, prezioso per un riscontro numerico effettivo dei criteri di ottimizzazione energetica, e accessibile a tutti grazie alla praticità d'impiego e alla disponibilità in forma gratuita sul sito web di Agenzia CasaClima. Dello stesso spirito partecipano i circa 50 dettagli costruttivi (anch'essi affinati e migliorati ulteriormente nella presente riedizione del volume), disponibili in formato editabile, utili a focalizzare i principi di tenuta all'aria, al vento, all'acqua, di coibentazione, di impermeabilizzazione... in generale di accurata posa in opera, che il volume espone anche con l'ausilio di foto di cantiere e schemi grafici.

Boards and corners lightly rubbed and scuffed; crease to front board; front hinge shaken; owner signature to title; occasional underlining in the text; else good. A celebratory overview of Western modernist architecture with detailed analysis of the works of architects such as Frank Lloyd Wright Walter Gropius Richard Neutra Laszlo Moholy-Nagy Le Corbusier Bruno Taut and Ernst May among others. The volume is illustrated with numerous photographs of architectural plans as well as finished constructions. The author architectural and art historian David Arkin 1899-1957 published this work at a critical moment when the official Soviet policy was starting to turn away from Western and early modernist examples. A professor at the Moscow Architectural Institute he was accused of "cosmopolitanism" for publishing this work though he managed to avoid deportation.
