VI Triennale di Milano. Esposizione internazionale delle Arti decorative...Attribuzione delle ricompense
In 8 (cm 14 x 21,5), pp. 30 + (2). Brossura editoriale. A partire dal 1923, anno di istituzione della Prima "Esposizione Internazionale delle Arti decorative" con sede a Monza (poi trasferita a Milano nel 1933), la manifestazione venne accompagnata e solennizzata con l'assegnazione, agli espositori, di premi e medaglie. Questo e' il catalogo per l'edizione 1936, la VI, con il regolamento per l'assegnazione dei premi da parte della Giuria. In primo luogo sono esclusi alcuni architetti e designer, per aver collaborato con membri della giuria o per aver partecipato all'allestimento di sezioni. Sono, ad esempio, esclusi dall'assegnazione dei premi: Bruno Munari, Felice Casorati, Mario Labo', Piero Bottoni, Enrico Prampolini, Anton Giulio Bragaglia e vari altri. Tra gli esclusi, in quanto gia' vincitori dei concorsi banditi dalla Triennale, Lucio Fontana, Marcello Nizzoli, Giancarlo Palanti, Edoardo Persico (per il Salone della Vittoria), Luigi Figini e Gino Pollini (per la scrivania con relativa sedia e poltrona), Bramante Buffoni e Leonardo Spreafico (per la sala da pranzo con decorazioni murali). Seguono poi i lungi elenchi di vincitori della Gran Premio, della medaglia d'oro e d'argento, di bronzo e del diploma d'onore. Tra i vincitori della medaglia d'oro per l'Italia: architetti Antonio Cassi-Ramelli e Paolo Buffa, Ignazio Gardella, Giuseppe Mazzoleni, poi Giacomo Manzoni (Manzu'), le ditte E. Taddei, La Cristalleria nazionale, Arturo Krupp, per la Francia Emile Hermes, Jeanne Lanvin, Hean Patou, Pierre Legrain; ecc...

Pieghevole pubblicitario ripiegato a 6 falde, cm 51 x 22, realizzato in occasione della fiera di Milano del 1956, in cui la Rai presentava la sua programmazione e i suoi spettacoli. L'immagine anteriore e posteriore del pieghevole richiama soluzioni stilistiche attribuibili al designer Max Huber. Huber e' stato uno dei migliori graphic designer del '900. Svizzero, inizia a lavorare in Italia presso lo studio Boggeri, in seguito (dopo la guerra) si applichera' al rifacimento della grafica Einaudi, e collabora con i migliori architetti dellepoca (Castiglioni, Carboni ad esempio) in occasione di allestimenti per Eni e Rai, Rinascente, Olivetti ecc.

Videro cosi' la luce le poltrone DU 10 e DU 11 (con la collaborazione di Ponti), la sedia con schienale basculante DU 9. Nel 1954 la sedia DU 30 vinse il Compasso d'oro e nel 1957 la DU 41 venne anch'essa premiata. Il catalogo presenta piu' di 30 prodotti tra i quali la panchetta T 904, la sedia DU 55 nelle sue varie versioni ecc.

FIRST COLOURED ENGLISH EDITION 1898 4to 300 x 235 mm 11¾ x 9 inches cloth backed boards large coloured illustration to upper cover specially commissioned from Toulouse Lautrec by the original French publishers adverts on endpapers. 23 full page coloured illustrations attributed on title page to F.J. Vernay Yorick etc. printed 1 side only. Most are very interesting: Water Mill Serpentine Dancer Harlequin Traction Engine Mortar Mill Steamboat Volcano Scissors Grinder The Cat and Cherub little black boy crying in bath-tub watched by cat House on Fire etc. 3 are geometric. The book was issued with a 'transparency' rectangular sheet of clear plastic mounted in card frame housed in pocket inside upper cover. When moved over the pictures it produced an illusion of movement. Corners very slightly worn board edges slightly worn covers slightly dusty upper cover slightly rubbed 2 small stains and some scratches to lower cover spine slightly faded endpapers lightly browned transparency split vertically with a small closed tear see image. An occasional pale fingermark to margins otherwise contents clean small piece missing from lower blank corner of 1 plate tiny closed tear with tiny chip to lower margin of Butterfly plate. A very good copy with original transparency damaged as noted. An uncoloured edition with only 13 plates and without the Toulouse Lautrec cover was published the same year.
