A few fox spots to rear fep else clean bright and tight. In Lotte Reiniger's silhouette dust jacket: toned and foxed extremities chipped nick to top edge of front panel dark stains to rear panel. Unusual Near fine/ good A typical Blakeston outing whose dust jacket blurb begins by citing off-kilter quotes from correspondence from Dylan Thomas who fondly referred to Blakeston as a "friend of all boozy poets and me too" and speculated: "I think you'll be able to write a naughty book and call it slime and punishment…." Riffing off the quotes the blurb goes on to ask: "Is this then a book to read while travelling under the seat" and continues: "It is certainly a naughty and deliberate study in decadence a story of invert relations a day-lit dream of psychoanalytic symbols". Blakeston and Reiniger likely met through Bryher who certainly knew Reiniger by 1931 when she took the filmmaker to a screening of POOL's film Borderline 1930 in Berlin. Scorpion Press hardcover

The dedication page with a silkscreen with gilt lettering and the founder's portrait Dr. med. Gustav Selle in gilt and black both silkscreens. Second frontispiece with gilt company buildings in gilt title page with bold gilt lettering and red and black ruling. Decorative initials. <br /> <br /> Lavish company history of the Selle-Eysler A.G. one of the first industrial graphic design companies specializing in photographic photomechanical and electromechanical procedures to prepare artwork photographs and graphic design for the printing process. Following the title page four pages with high quality offset reproductions of photographs of the company founder Erich Zander the cofounder Siegmund Labisch both full page and five members of the corporate board on one page. The photographs are rendered in photogravure and many of the designs with gilt overprinting.<br /> <br /> Striking work celebrating the 25th anniversary featuring the highest quality of graphic design and printing stating an example for the company intrinsically linked to the history of these techniques. Hanging Sabbath Lamps
RARE catalog of Hanging Sabbath Lamps in Germany, Italy, Holland and Yemen, the countries where it was particularly common. This paper was presented at a senior project in art at the Pelech School - a religious-experimental high school for girls in Jerusalem (March 1989). The author - Adi Dermer (née Blumberg, 1971-2001) was an artist and designer who sought to artistically express the sanctity inherent in Judaism. Adi founded a seminary for young women, the first of its kind in Israel to focus on Jewish studies, art and design. After the author's premature death, the paper and catalog was published with English translation in 2001. 295x210mm. 77+36 pages. Illustrated Softcover. Cover rubbed. Front cover upper corner creased. Spine upper edge slightly worn. [SUMMARY]: This extremely rare book on a fascinating subject in Jewish art is in very good condition.

Progetto Minore riflette intorno alle pratiche ed al pensiero progettuale, richiamando riferimenti e tradizioni che vanno dalla filosofia agli studi culturali, dall'antropologia alla tradizione decoloniale, ponendo al centro l'importanza della "minorità" come possibile statuto del progetto. Il minore non è una minoranza, una riduzione, ma una differenza di statuto e pertanto una intensità. Non è una banale chiamata alle armi, una richiesta di azione e di uno sporcarsi le mani in una nuova funzionale operatività. Al contrario è una proposta destituente. Un nuovo pensiero per pensare il progetto ed il suo farsi nelle crisi, che si sostanzia come inversione del proprio significato, operatrice di critica e di resistenza rispetto ad un orizzonte totalitario, maggiore, dominante: una piccola linea di fuga.
