‎Berlin: Nero-Film A. G. 1931. Original vintage German publicity photo of PETER LORRE in the legendary film classic "M" directed by Fritz Lang. Berlin: Nero-Film A. G. 1931. This stunning image shows Lorre as the murderer confronted by the blind balloon seller who recognizes his distinctive whistle thus setting Lorre's capture in motion. Exceedingly rare photo recently found in an old untouched US archive having originated as an oversized German negative which was re-purposed for use in Denmark as evidenced by the Danish Film Censor's mark "statens" at the bottom which is baked into the negative and then presumably arrived here as a collector's rarity . Glossy single-weight roughly 8" x 10" gelatin silver print. It shows overall wear from handling and it has many faint creases plus stains on reversewhich do not bleed through to the front yet retains eye appeal. "M" remains one of the most famous films of world cinema. It provided the initial blueprint for the entire genre now labeled psychological thriller. "M" original posters sell from $15000 to $50000. Following star Connors' popular 1958-1963 Western series "The Rifleman" Connors stars as Jason McCord a former US cavalry captain who was court-martialed after being unjustly accused of cowardice. The series premiered on January 24 1965 and aired for two seasons and 48 episodes ending on April 24 1966.<br /> <br /> In this episode Connors comes upon a bound white Indian woman who says three wolfer brothers kidnapped and attacked her who he decides he needs to find and kill while returning her to her people.<br /> <br /> Green titled wrappers with credits for screenwriter Frank Paris. Valens' 1966 book about Jill Kinmont Boothe a champion skier who at the age of 18 was involved in a near-fatal accident resulting in paralysis from the neck down. She would become a teacher of special education after rehabilitation and married a trucker named John Boothe in 1976. She was inducted into the National Ski Hall of Fame in 1967 and died in 2012. <br/><br/>Director Peerce's notable film debut as director "One Potato Two Potato" 1964 was a groundbreaking drama about an interracial marriage and one of the first films to portray such a relationship. He would later marry and divorce Marilyn Hassett who plays Jill in the film she won a Golden Globe for her debut role. Beau Bridges costars as her love interest. Nominated for an Academy Award. <br/><br/>Set in Bishop California shot on location throughout California. <br/><br/>Blue titled wrappers noted as "Office Copy Cover" in ink on the front wrapper copy No. 74-1-82.
