Geneva Version; with Tomson’s NT but with Junius’ Revelation. This copy agrees with Herbert 248 based on Pocock 1883 identified as the earliest of this group of quarto bibles with 1599 Barker imprint as it abounds with gross errors. All were apparently printed in the Low Countries for surreptitious import into England. Herbert suggests that this edition was perhaps printed at Amsterdam about 1599. STC on the other hand citing The Library 1954 suggests that it was printed at Amsterdam by J.F.Stam after 1640. Darlow & Moule 188. Herbert 248. Pforzheimer 60. The family Bible of Hobart Estabrook died 1872 and his wife Asenath died 1877 of East Haddam CT and later Newfield NY and Havana NY. Estabrook was prominent having charge of the State of Connecticut's land holdings in New York some 16000 acres.
