Ouvrage non-découpé , bilingue allemand-français sur beau papier l'iconographie vaut qu'on s'y arrête : Composée de photographies ( dont beaucoup d'habitants ) en couleurs et noir et blanc , hors-texte sur papier couché , et de pages de papier de luxe pliées et cousues mains comportant des lithographies originales et des photographies en couleurs de tableaux contre-collées d'une grande qualité artistique . Un plan dépliant comprend l'évolution de la ville depuis 1825 en 6 dessins . Cet exemplaire fut offert au Maire de Saint-Guilhem-le-désert et dédicacé par le député-Maire Antoine Krier . Le texte est très riche et documenté notamment sur les hauts fourneaux et tout le passé minier de la ville . Un long chapitre sur la communauté juive qui s'y installa très tôt . Mine .
