(ca. 20 x 15,7 cm). 127 S. Original-Karton mit farbig illustriertem Deckeltitel. Einband mit leichten Gebrauchsspuren, insgesamt gut erhalten. Das belgische Ministerium stellte in der Publikation die Wirtschaft des Landes vor. Insbesondere Kohle, Koks, Metallindustrie und Maschinenbau werden mit einigen Texten und Abbildungen beschrieben. Doch auch Textilindustrie (Teppiche/Spitzen), Chemie, Fischerei und die belgischen Häfen werden mit einzelnen Kapiteln vorgestellt. Auf dem hinteren Innendeckel wirbt das Ministerium dann für den "Einkauf" in Belgien und verspricht sämtliche Hilfe dabei. Offensichtlich war die Publikation für die gerade gegründete BRD gedacht, um nach dem NS-Staat neuen Handel mit der deutschen Industrie aufzubauen. Da die Publikation im Jahr 1950 aufgelegt wurde, wirkt sie fast wie ein Vorläufer zur sogenannten Montanunion (EGKS, 1951 gegründet) und zur späteren Europäischen Wirtschaftsgemeinschaft (EWG, 1957 gegründet). Beide Organisationen wurden von Belgien mitbegründet und waren wesentlicher Teil der europäischen Einigung nach 1945. Interessant ist jedoch auch die Vorstellung von Belgisch-Kongo und seinen Erzeugnissen, Belgien war zu dieser Zeit immer noch strittige Kolonialmacht. Seltene Schrift mit vielen Abbildungen kurz vor den Anfängen zur Europäischen Union!

Anders als sein Vater und seine beiden älteren Brüder, der 1919 ermordete KPD-Mitbegründer Karl Liebknecht und der letzte USPD-Vorsitzende Theodor Liebknecht, wurde Otto Liebknecht nicht parteipolitisch aktiv, wenngleich auch er viele Jahre SPD-Mitglied war und sich außerhalb der Parteipolitik für die Arbeiterbewegung auf betrieblicher Basis einsetzte.
