Original-Flugblatt mit Polemik gegen den Bolschewismus und seinen Einfluss in Deutschland. Die Lage in Russland nach 1917 wird eingangs mit folgenden Worten beschrieben: "Das Volk hungert und friert. / Statt des Friedens Krieg an 4 Fronten. / Hunderte von Hinrichtungen täglich. / Bürgerkrieg an allen Ecken und Enden." Später warnt das Flugblatt dann vor einem Erfolg der Kommunisten in Deutschland. Es heißt hierzu konkret: "Was würde aus uns werden wenn Spartakus an die Regierung kommt / Ungeheure Lebensmittelnot bricht aus! Unsere Industrie wird vernichtet und Millionen von Arbeitern werden arbeitslos! Der Bürgerkrieg bricht aus und nur mit Hilfe von Maschinengewehren und einer Schreckensherrschaft würden die Spartakusleute die Macht behalten können! Der Feind zieht ins Land!". Abschließend heißt es eindringlich: "Tausende aus Rußland zurückgekehrter Gefangenen die alle Schrecken einer Bolschewistenherrschaft schon durchgemacht haben warnen Euch dringend. Ihr bringt Euch und Eure Familien ins Unglück wenn ihr die Bolschewiken unterstützt." Die Flugschrift stammt sehr wahrscheinlich von der SPD. Polemik und Wortwahl der Schrift ähneln anderen Flugblättern etwa gegen Karl Radek die explizit mit Urheberschaft der SPD gekennzeichnet sind auch fungierte das Verlagshaus Auer in Hamburg für die Drucksachen des Hamburger Landesverbandes der SPD. Ob die Flugschrift im Vorlauf zur Wahl der Nationalversammlung publiziert wurde läßt sich nicht bestätigen. Da jedoch explizit vor dem Spartakusbund gewarnt wird kann von einer Publikation um 1918 ausgegangen werden. Contemporary quarter cloth over marbled boards with cloth-reinforced corners blind apparently once gilded fillets volume number 2 and illegible title to spine speckled edges. Light rubbing to boards moderate rubbing to board edges. Light toning to interior text to rectos and versos in a small elegant correction-free hand. $1250. Neatly written and formatted with carefully organized chapters and sub-sections marked with Roman numerals Arabic numerals and upper and lower-case letters this manuscript appears to be the final version of a set of lecture notes. We were unable to identify its place and date of composition but the language content orthography arrangement of material and binding suggest a German university at the end of the eighteenth century. This manuscript records an introductory class on the foundations of contemporary civil law. It begins with a brief chapter on the nature of law and proceeds to longer chapters on broad legal systems such as natural law and then to detailed chapters on Roman law and canon law. Overall it offers a fine perspective on the conceptual framework that guided preliminary courses of legal study in the German states at the end of the eighteenth century. unknown‎

‎43 ll.From mountains in Austria to city views and interiors of churches in Budapest Vienna Innsbruck and München: all can be found in the 43 photographic prints in the present album. They were taken in at the end of the nineteenth-century probably in 1897 and 1899 according to blind-stamps in the prints. The photographers of most images are unknown except for the 6 photographs of Innsbruck which were made by the Innsbruck photographer and publisher Fritz Gratl. He likely made some of the other photographs of Austrian mountains towns and the city of Salzburg as well since his other known photographs cover similar subjects. Most prints of Vienna and some of Budapest were published by Stengel and Company in Dresden Germany in 1897. They and also Fritz Gratl were famous printers and publishers of postcards with similar picturesque images and the photographs in the present album are possibly the original images used to make the postcards.22 photos bear the blind stamp of the photographic studio. 4 photos have handwritten captions in pencil. The binding shows some minor signs of wear slight foxing or browning of the outer edges of the paperboards not affecting the photographs some photographs slightly faded or rubbed mostly at the edges not affecting the actual image the paper board of the print of "Budapest - Neues Parlament" has a slightly damaged spot in the lower margin not affecting the integrity of the board or the print. Overall in good condition. An album of 43 photos showing the sights of Hungary Austria and Germany. hardcover‎
