An intersting account with a very detailed map of the Panamian isthmus the place where 50 years after this publication the Panama Canal was opened. Wagner included a narrative of his travel from Germany to Panama. From p. 21 onwards he mentions the importance of his study for digging a canal through the isthmus. Published as Erg�nzungsheft 5 of Petermann's Geographische Mitteilungen. Some spotting but in all a good complete copy. unknown
