Description: Diana an American schoolgirl joins a small English boarding School just at the same time as a new headmistress arrives. Diana is high spirited and mischievous and comes into conflict with authority. The new headmistress is intent on introducing new and modern educational ideas so she is at odds with everyone as well. The results are mixed but Angela Brazils writing has humour and wit which holds the readers attention. Her novels were much appreciated by the younger female reader.
