A thorough study of Lincoln's career in the Illinois Assembly where he served four terms and began to distinguish himself in political understanding of how to get things done. Inscribed to the infamous "Dan Rostenkowski" where Simon himself a symbol of virtue wrote in 1967: "To Dan whose leadership in Washington has brought great credit to his name and to our state--with my best wishes--Paul Simon" 1-12-67. When Rostenkowski's deeds came investigation he was sentenced to four years in prison. Mike Royko his constant critic came to his defense only because he said most of the house were guilty of the same exact things. The former President Ford also felt that the case was overblown. President Bill Clinton pardoned him in December 2000. He then began teaching political theory Northwestern University and Loyola University Chicago where his papers are now held.Bound in orange-black cloth spine lettering gilt over black.
