‎PARIS, Nouvelle Librairie Française, 1932 - Première édition - In-12 - débroché - Couverture illustrée -10 planches de reproductions photographiques hors-texte - 236 pages - Frais inérieurement - Envoi rapide et soigné Ex-libris manuscrit L. de lorgeril Joseph-Marie Le Brix (1899-1931), héros de nombreux exploits aériens. Le Brix s’est rendu célèbre avec Dieudonné Costes (1892-1973) en effectuant un tour du monde aérien entre 1927 et 1928. Lors de cette aventure, ils réussissent la première traversée de l’Atlantique Sud, sans escale, entre Saint-Louis du Sénégal et Natal au Brésil. Leur avion est le Bréguet 19 baptisé Nungesser et Coli en hommage aux aviateurs récemment disparus. Il fut ensuite professeur à l'Ecole navale de Brest où Saint-Exupéry a suivi une formation à son retour de Cap Juby. En juin 1931, avec Marcel Doret (chef-pilote chez Dewoitine) et le radio Cadou, ils s'attribuent 9 records mondiauxsur le Dewoitine 33 Trait-d'Union. Quelques mois plus tard, il disparaît en tentant le raid Paris-Tokyo à bord du Trait d'Union 2 avec Marcel Doret et René Mesmin. Dans l'Oural, l'appareil est pris dans des turbulences avant de s'écraser. Seul Doret sauve sa vie en sautant en parachute. Resté à bord, Le Brix et Mesmin meurent à Oufra (Russie) le 12 septembre 1931. En France, la mort tragique de Joseph-Marie Le Brix pris des proportions de deuil national.‎
