This copy is additionally SIGNED/INSCRIBED in French and dated 1959 by Salvador Dali with drawings to Cary Selden Rodman across the title page and facing blank page. Cary Selden Rodman February 19 1909 � November 2 2002 was a prolific U.S. writer of poetry plays and prose political commentary art criticism Latin American and Caribbean history biography and travel writing�publishing a book almost every year of his adult life he also co edited Common Sense Magazine. In 1961 Rodman published Conversations With Artists wherein the author transcribed interviews with the artistic luminaries of the day. This particular copy was most likely inscribed by Dali to Rodman two years earlier during Dali's conversation with Rodman published in the May of 1959 issue of Controversy Magazine which featured both Rodman and Dali on the cover. In that publication reference is made to the inscription in English translation and its meaning. For historical grounding and context we are including a copy of that magazine/publication for the buyer of this amazing association/presentation copy.
