Illustrated dustwrapper showing a woman standing next to a Maori totem pole with yellow and grey coloured titles to the front panel and spine. A novel set in New Zealand in 1920s. Minimal rubbing and bumping has occurred to the corners but the head and heel of spine are soft. Gift inscription on the free front end page. The remains of tape are visible on both the front and back endpapers. The foxing has happened to the paper edges and foxing has intruded onto the internal pages. The internal pages are brown and handling marks are visible. The dustwrapper is rubbed and faded and there is minor chipping along both dustwrapper edges. The on the verso of the dustwrapper the illustrations have started to come through. Taped repair to 2 tears at top dustwrapper edge have been repaired badly with tape tape still in situ.
