LGBTQ pulp Sally Singer pen name March Hastings was one of few lesbian pulp authors who lived openly as a lesbian. Sally Singer started exploring the gay scene in her teens and she was in a committed healthy relationship with a woman by the time she was writing her first book Three Women. Later she was in a relationship with fellow lesbian pulp novelist Pat Perdue pen name Randy Salem. Singer was also an activist and attended the Stonewall riots in 1969. Early lesbian pulp collection of three mass-market paperbacks by Sally Singer under the pseudonym: "March Hastings". This collection includes:<br /> <br /> 1 Shame. New York: Universal Publishing and Distributing Corporation 1958 First edition mass-market softcover paperback. Measures 4.5" x 7". 192 pages. The novel follows a young woman named Maria who tried to avoid the same fate as her mother.
