‎Ce numéro des Cahiers du Centre fut consacré à Servant de son vivant (il est mort en 1916) ; on y trouve plusieurs extraits de ses ouvrages principaux : "L'ecclésiatse du poète", la "Légende Humaine" parue dans "La revue intellectuelle" qu'il fonda et dirigea, "Les joyeuses et emerveillantes aventures des six frères du Petit Poucet", "La réformation poétique française". Une courte présentation de l'écrivain, par Michel Abadie, ouvre l'ouvrage.‎

‎Célèbre vue du château de Bourbon l'Archambault, gravée par Israël Silvestre pour la Topographia Galliae de Martin Zeiller publiée par Mérian à partir de 1657. Nommé dessinateur et graveur du roi en 1662, puis maître de dessin du Dauphin en 1675, I. Silvestre (1621-1691) est l'un des meilleurs graveurs de vues topographiques du XVII°s. Son oeuvre se compose de près de quatre cent pièces représentant des vues d'Italie et de France. - Marges correctes. Trace de pli central.‎

‎Edition originale avec un envoi autographe de l'auteur.Jean Simon est un écrivain gannatois attachant, (1909-1992) : il a publié une grande quantité d'études plus ou moins courtes sur Gannat et ses environs, la plupart du temps imprimées sur beaux papier, souvent hors-commerce et toujours à petit nombre. Cette plaquette en fait partie : l'auteur évoque ses impressions face au tableau de Guy FRANCOIS conservé dans l'église Sainte-Croix, une "Adoration des bergers" d'une grande qualité, due à l'artiste ponot qui la réalisa pour le couvent des capucins de Gannat en 1630. Bon exemplaire cependant, exempt de rousseurs.‎

‎Les exemplaires bien complets des 25 planches et du titre lithographiés sont rares. Au verso du faux-titre on trouve la mention de l'imprimeur : Moulins, imp. C. Dresrosiers. Le titre lithographié en deux tons, a également été réalisé à Moulins par A. Champagnat, pour le compte de la Maison Enaut (Moulins).
