1857 Lettre adressées à Alphonse Ponroy ( Saint-Valentin 1857 - La Châtre , après 1924),instituteur, auteur d'écrits sur le Berry. Maurice Rollinat remercie son correspondant, "Je suis très honoré que ma prose funèbre vous ait fait songer au grand Pascal et je vous remercie mille fois des articles, citations que vous m'avez consacrés dans les journaux de chez nous…Quoique toujours souffrant, je continue à observer, ruminer, travailler, le labeur Artistique étant en somme Celui qui vous console le mieux…". Il annonce de futurs voyages à Châteauroux et Chinon et demande à Ponroy de saluer les Detroy ( le peintre Léon Détroy, est un peintre rattaché à l'Ecole de Crozant). Puis Rollinat poursuit en disant qu'il a su la mort de Bridier et a écrit à sa mère… Gustave Bridier, poète co-fondateur avec Alphonse Ponroy de la revue Le Prisme, à Issoudun, avait notamment publié un long article sur le recueil "Les Névroses".
