An Friedrich Christian Lossius, den Prokuristen der Becker'schen Buchhandlung zu Gotha, dem er bis Jahresende die Begleichung seiner Schulden für die Zusendung des "Allgemeinen Anzeigers der Deutschen" zusagt und den er bittet, ihm fehlende Monate und Register aus den Jahren 1814-1816 und 1820 zukommen zu lassen: "Ferner, könnte ich für die Folge dem allg. Anzeiger im Tausch gegen Werke meines Verlages beziehen? Meine Bibliothek kostete mich schon so viel, u. ich halte ihn mehr dafür, als zum täglichen Durchlesen [...]". - Am Briefrand links der Antwortvermerk "Nein". - Johann Anton André hatte 1799 für seinen Verlag den handschriftlichen Nachlass Mozarts von dessen Witwe Constanze erworben, nachdem der Breitkopf & Härtel abgelehnt hatte. Die Sammlung war in den folgenden Jahrzehnten die Grundlage für die Mozart-Editionen des Verlags André und von großer Bedeutung für Mozarts Werkrezeption. - Aus der Sammlung Künzel.

Born in 1986, Borgerhout, Belgium. Ever since childhood he was very passionate about woodworking. At the age of 15 he made his first instrument, the next year he started studying at the violin making school of Antwerp. Directly after his studies in 2006 he worked in a local workshop in Brussels till 2011. Anton then decided to take the leap and started his own business opening his workshop in his hometown Melsele where he grew up and is strongly connected to the cultural life. From 2013 till 2015 Anton Somers and his former employer tried to work together again, but now as chef d'atelier, in the workshop premises of Anton in Melsele. where he worked meanwhile on his own account. One can see finally an output of high quality instruments under his own name, with his own models and with his own varnish, which lead to a boost in his career. In September 2016 Anton also took on the challenge to work as a teacher in the violin making school of Antwerp ILSA. Sharing his knowledge for 5 years, he stopped teaching at the end of 2021 to be able to fully focus on his career. In December 2016 Anton received a Coup du Coeur in the violin making competition ?Violoncellenseine? in Paris which was dedicated to the cello. The cello was specially awarded for his tonality qualities by renowned cellist Damian Martinez Marco. In 2020 Anton was selected by Andy Lim personally to serve as one of the five supervisors for the 3-year string sextet project, where 24 last year student/ recently graduated violinmakers will make 2 violins, 2 violas and 2 cellos. Anton has the honour and the challenge to supervice the making of 2 cellos. In 2021 Anton made a string quartet containing completely CITES certified whalebone purflings. This quartet is shown in the book published by Darling Publications "Anton Somers Vioolbouwer te Antwerpen ~ 22 instruments of the violin family 2012-2021 which was launched in Brussels, June 2021. Anton?s instruments are appreciated by the most demanding musicians as also by investors who keep them in their private collection.

N.p.: N.p. 1974. Draft Working script for the 1975 Andy Warhol-produced musical copy belonging to Monique van Vooren. Includes 36 additional unbound pages primarily revisions as well as twelve pages staple bound containing the bulk of dialogue for van Vooren's character Venus with name repeatedly circled in holograph pencil. Annotations throughout both copied and in holograph ink and pencil. Frequent annotated changes to sequence as well as dialogue missing sequential pages and unbound revisions reflect the continually changing and famously chaotic production. <br/><br/>From the estate of actress Monique van Vooren. <br/><br/>The musical opened on January 29 1975 at the Little Theatre. It was a star-studded opening night and after party at Sardi's with Warren Beatty Andy Warhol Diane von Furstenberg Diana Vreeland Kurt Vonnegut Rex Harrison Yoko Ono and others in attendance. Unfortunately scathing reviews followed and after only four days and a run of ten performances the production closed on February 1 1974.<br/><br/>In 1970 John Phillips inspired by the 1969 Apollo 11 moon landing conceived of a space-themed musical project a space opera originally entitled "Space" and spent the next five years on the project in its various incarnations. In 1974 Phillips' wife Genevieve Waite persuaded Andy Warhol to produce the project as a Broadway musical with Warhol's collaborator Paul Morrissey slated to direct. The project was renamed "Man on the Moon" with Waite von Vooren and Denny Doherty slated to star. Reportedly two weeks before opening night co-producer Richard Turley fired Morrissey installing a more experienced Broadway director uncredited who changed everything casting stage directions songs and script. <br/><br/>Phillips would later used some of the songs from the musical for the soundtrack of the 1976 Nicolas Roeg film "The Man Who Fell to Earth" starring David Bowie. In 2009 "Andy Warhol Presents Man on the Moon" was released as part of the "John Phillips Presents" series and included unreleased demos and songs recorded at a dress rehearsal at The Factory by Warhol.<br/><br/>Self wrappers integral with first page. 87 leaves with last page of text unnumbered. La particolarità di questo metodo consiste nel fornire un percorso con chitarra alla mano, in modo da poter riprodurre direttamente sullo strumento l'effetto che ogni regola teorica produce nella pratica. Non è quindi un metodo per imparare a suonare la chitarra. Partendo però da una minima base di conoscenza, anche solo pratica, di accordi e scale sullo strumento (pentatonica e scala maggiore) sarà possibile apprendere in modo semplice tutti i più importanti concetti di teoria e armonia applicati al proprio strumento.

br. Alla scoperta del pianeta Disco. 2 aprile 1979. Newsweek, con Donna Summer in copertina, titolava: Disco Takes Over (la disco prende il sopravvento). 40 anni fa, dopo più di un lustro di incontrastato regno, la disco music era al suo apice. Trascorsi tre mesi da quell'articolo, una parte dell'establishment tenterà di farla fuori. Invano: era già nel dna della musica. Il volume analizza genesi e sviluppo di un melting pot sonoro, culturale e sociale dalle innumerevoli diramazioni creative: un fenomeno molto amato, ma anche molto osteggiato, che, da movimento underground per minoranze di razza, sesso e ceto sociale, si è evoluto in carismatico trend-setter di massa. Viene narrata, da prospettive nuove rivolte al contesto socio-culturale dell'epoca, la storia completa della disco music risalendo alle sue radici afro, R&B, soul, funk fino alle contaminazioni con l'elettronica dell'Eurodisco, con un occhio di riguardo riservato alla prima Italo Disco, approfondendo altresì il proliferare delle originarie discotheques che, da Parigi, sono esplose a New York, centro gravitazionale della club culture (The Loft, Studio 54, Paradise Garage) e trampolino di lancio dei nuovi ministri del suono, i DJ e i loro vinili a 12 pollici. Una mappa per orientarsi tra le varie correnti assurte a fama mondiale: dalle origini afro di Manu Dibango e della Lafayette Afro Rock Band al solare Miami Sound, dalla disco-stomp di Bohannon alla Febbre del Sabato Sera, dall'orchestrale Philly Sound all'elettronica del Munich Sound di Giorgio Moroder, dalle superstar (Donna Summer, Bee Gees, Chic, Gloria Gaynor, Barry White, Amii Stewart) alle iconiche hits delle meteore (~"Ring My Bell", "Born To Be Alive", "Funky Town") e dei personaggi più oscuri, dal gay-clubbing di Sylvester e Grace Jones agli "alieni" atterrati sul Dancefloor dai pianeti rock, funk e jazz. Con un focus incentrato nel periodo 1974-1980 (prodromi ed epigoni annessi), "La storia della disco music" è una narrazione completa, ricca di racconti, aneddoti e citazioni, sul caleidoscopico genere che ha contribuito in modo fondamentale all'evoluzione della musica moderna.
