br. Quando l'editore mi propose di fare una nuova revisione dello storico metodo, rimasi inizialmente perplesso, visto il gran numero di edizioni esistenti. È stato necessario, quindi, trovare qualcosa che si discostasse in maniera sostanziale dai precedenri lavori con l'intento di dare nuova linfa vitale a questa opera. L'idea è stata quella di cercare una nuova contestualizzazione alle attuali metodologie di studio. Idea che però non doveva snaturare quella che è l'essenza del Metodo che gli ha fatto poi attraversare quasi due secoli: la semplicità.

brossura Da Leonardo Vinci a Francesco Cilea, dal Florimo a Manfroce, Longo, Scaramuzza, Serrao, la Nostra Terra ha dato i natali ad eccellenze del panorama musicale italiano: senza ombra di dubbio, l'arte e il valore della loro produzione musicale vanno ben oltre ciò che la storia e la critica musicale hanno, ad oggi, ad essi restituito. La figura del Valensise, ugualmente, s'incardina tra le pieghe della Cristianità e dell'arte compositiva al servizio della Fede. Nel bicentenario della nascita del Maestro polistenese risulta ancor più necessario, dunque, cogliere questa significativa occasione per ridar loro il dovuto lustro e onore.

brossura Il mondo accademico, ed in generale quello didattico-formativo, è ricco di opere e manuali che da decenni guidano gli studenti nell'acquisizione delle competenze musicali di base. Tali metodi sono testi di assoluto valore ma nati per una tipologia di Corso, il Vecchio Ordinamento, che prevedeva un'articolazione formativa triennale. Come sappiamo, la Riforma delle Istituzioni Afam ha portato ad una radicale trasformazione dei percorsi accademici.Inoltre, il Triennio di I Livello è preceduto dai Corsi Propedeutici dove, per essere ammessi, lo studente deve dimostrare di possedere una competenza teorico-musicale. Infine, la stragrande maggioranza delle Istituzioni Afam organizzano altresì percorsi preparatori all'ammissione ai Propedeutici, in cui vengono affrontati gli argomenti della teoria e della lettura musicale.A chi si rivolge, dunque, questo Manuale? Beh, credo sia corretto indicare non la tipologia di Corso ma la tipologia di studente. Mi riferisco dunque a studenti che debbono acquisire le competenze per l'ammissione ai Corsi Propedeutici, o per lo studio durante gli stessi Corsi preparatori o, ancora, per gli studenti che accedono ai Corsi Accademici con un debito formativo nelle discipline di base.
