No place: Ann Bacheller 1920. Softcover. Very Good. First edition. 15pp. Paper wrappers bound with string with a paper label on the front wrapper. Dampstaining to the wrappers but the contents remain clean and unaffected small tear at the foot of the spine and light edgewear still very good or better. Inscribed by Ann Bacheller on the front cover. For voice and piano. A self-published collection of six songs composed by Ann Bacheller with all but two featuring lyrics by her husband Irving Bacheller who was a writer and a journalist remembered in part for his popular novel Eben Holden of which a piece in this collection is related to. The songs included are "Slumber Ship" "Co' Day: From Eben Holden" "The Robins Wedding" and "Untitled: Dedicated to Constance Brown" all with words by Irving Bacheller as well as a "Military March" with no words and "When a Feller Goes A-Hunting for a Rose" with words by Frank L. Stanton. In 1926 Irving Bacheller donated the Chapel Bells formally known as the Bacheller Memorial Chime to his alma mater St. Lawrence University; the largest of the ten bells is engraved with a dedication to his wife "To Ann Bacheller: Musician Wife Comrade. My love for her put a new song in my heart. Therefore let the singing of these bells be the voice of my gratitude." The bells still ring to this day. OCLC locates no holdings of this title.
