Les répétitions des choeurs ont pris les parties de façon qu'on n'a pu recopier avant aujourd'hui, c'est ce qui fait qu'à mon grand ennui, je ne vous enverrai que ce soir la vôtre. Ayez la bonté malgré cela Madame d'assister à la répétition de demain: les choeurs seront très bien et si vous n'avez pas le temps de regarder avant, vous aurez en tout cas idée de l'ensemble de l'ouvrage, et grande musicienne comme vous êtes, vous savrez la partie en entendant la musique [...]". - On stationery with engraved arms. Il tratto del garbo, della mitezza, della buona educazione ne sono la cifra più marcata che rivela un'attitudine della vita. È anche, però, il racconto di una solitudine di cui il violino diventa l'emblema, oltre che un permanente tentativo di riscatto. L'itinerante compagno di un ragazzo povero che, diventato adulto e famoso, cerca le sue radici per non perdersi, per comprendersi. The first edition of this interesting work on cardinals and bishops’ investiture, with texts and music of Gregorian chant at the end of the volume. Segnalare a Cowden.

in-4, ff. (4), 127, (3), legatura coeva in pergamena, titolo ms. al dorso (con mancanze nella parte superiore). Seconda edizione (prima Roma, Blado 1564) di fortunato cerimoniale dedicato ai riti per la nomina di cardinali e vescovi. L'opera apparve postuma: delle numerose composizioni del Grassi sulle cerimonie pontificie nessuna fu pubblicata in vita, tanto da far sospettare che non le volesse divulgare per mantenerne l'esclusiva. Scritto probabilmente nel 1508 (come si desume da una nota su una copia manoscritta dell'opera conservata presso la Biblioteca Palatina di Parma) il Cerimoniale godette di discreta fortuna venendo stampato quattro volte nel XVI secolo. La presente edizione venne curata da Francesco Mucanzio, nipote del Grassi, e dedicata al Cardinale Otto Troches. Al f. 113 inizia una parte musicata ''De tonis sive tenoribus orationum...''. Il Grassi (1470-1528) fu noto Maestro di Cerimonie per Giulio II e Leone X. Al titolo 2 timbri di antiche biblioteche e nota di possesso ms. dell'abate ''Leonardi Marsilii Senensis'' (1641-1713). Buon esemplare malgrado i fori di tarlo ai primi e ultimi ff.; lievi aloni d'umido marginali ai primi ff.. Adams 1020. Rism I 375 (1584). DBIt LVII, 681-684..

"The Grateful Dead was founded in the San Francisco Bay Area amid the rise of the counterculture of the 1960s. The founding members were Jerry Garcia lead guitar vocals Bob Weir rhythm guitar vocals Ron "Pigpen" McKernan keyboards harmonica vocals Phil Lesh bass vocals and Bill Kreutzmann drums. Members of the Grateful Dead originally known as the Warlocks had played together in various Bay Area ensembles including the traditional jug band Mother McCree's Uptown Jug Champions. Lesh was the last member to join the Warlocks before they changed their name to the Grateful Dead; replacing Dana Morgan Jr. who had played bass for a few gigs.
