Illustrated with 13 figures. 10 tables. Footnotes. Index. The endpaper of this copy is SIGNED by the important geologist Ernest Howe 1875-1932. Howe graduated from Yale class of 1898 and went on to Harvard where he earned his M.A. in 1899 and Ph.D. in 1901. He went to work for the United States Geological Survey U.S.G.S. as an assistant geologist in 1900. In 1906 Howe was appointed geologist of the Isthmian Canal Commission. He surveyed the Canal Zone and produced a report on his findings for the Commission in 1907. Howe was a member of the Royal Geographic Society of London's expedition to the upper Amazon. For many years he was a consulting geologist for various gold mining operations in California. He was associated as part owner or director with the North Star Mines Company the Champion mines the Round Mountain Neocene Drift Placer Mine and West Point Consolidated Mines Inc. among others. In 1920 the Mexican government called on Howe to reorganize their geological survey. He also served as editor of THE AMERICAN JOURNAL OF SCIENCE from 1926 until his death. Howe's papers are housed at Yale University's Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library. His son the diplomat Walter Howe from whose library this came served as U.S. Ambassador to Chile from 1958-61. Le agende che normalmente usiamo per scrivere e pianificare le nostre attività si basano sul calendario gregoriano, che essendo solare e lineare non tiene conto della ciclicità e soprattutto non contempla il fatto che noi donne possediamo un'energia molto diversa da quella del sole: noi rappresentiamo l'energia della luna incarnata sulla terra ed è con essa e con noi stesse che ci muoviamo, mese dopo mese. È la nostra ciclicità interiore che rende i giorni così differenti da donna a donna. Se, per esempio, il cielo fosse in luna piena e la tua energia avrebbe dovuto essere al massimo e nella fase fertile, la tua luna interiore potrebbe essere calante e per questo potresti sentirti introspettiva, riflessiva, taciturna, ovvero tutto il contrario di ciò che avviene a livello planetario. Pertanto seguire i giorni con approccio lineare potrebbe farci sentire inadeguate, sbagliate e a volte persino un po' pazze. Per questo ti invito ad approfittare di questa agenda come di un momento per connetterti sia con la luna nel cielo che con la luna che vive dentro di te.
