‎---- Dans ce volume in folio Guyton de Morveau a consigné à partir du 1er Pluvose de l'An VII et jusqu'en 1815 les expériences qu'il a faites probablement au laboratoire de l'Ecole polytechnique. Ces notes occupent les pages 1 à 56 du volume. ‎Erste Ausgabe (eine zweite unveränderte Auflage erschien 1836). - Ein im Vorwort angekündigter zweiter Band der "Eleganten Chemie" erschien 1821 mit dem Titel "Neueste Vorschriften für Destillateur, Brandtweinbrenner und Parfumerie-Fabrikanten" ebenfalls bei Ebner. Beide Bände gehören zu den selteneren Schriften des in Nürnberg tätigen Mechanicus, der vor allem durch seine Elektrisiermaschinen bekannt geworden ist. Gütle (1747-1827) beruft sich bei seinen Rezepturen u.a. auf die bekannten Chemiker Hermbstädt u.
