Parker debuted on radio as a substitute singer on "The Eveready Hour" and was a regular on radio and television from the 1930s to the 1950s with personalities including Jack Benny George Burns and Arthur Godfrey. Beginning in September 1935 he had his own radio program "The Atlantic Family on Tour with Frank Parker" which was heard on 36 CBS stations. In the 1950s he appeared on television as a singer host and panelist. He also acted in several movies including "Romance in the Rain" 1934 "Sweet Surrender' 1935 and "Paris Follies of 1956".
