L'autrice iniziò, nel 1997, a raccogliere testimonianze nelle quali si parla delle vicende redazionali e, dopo decenni, degli articoli più interessanti, analizzati criticamente, che l'autrice ha riportato fedelmente nel libro. Troviamo così i saggi del direttore Ferruccio Battolini, critico d'arte e letterario affermato in Italia, e quelli dei giovani studenti spezzini che avevano voluto la rivista dopo aver conosciuto a Genova Edoardo Sanguinetti, in particolare Beppe Delconte ed Eligio Patrone, affrontarono Ezra Pound ed i suoi Cantos. Spartaco Gamberini, letterato e docente nell'università di Cardiff, analizzò il Crepularismo, l'Entropia e gli scritti di Umberto Eco; Luciano Cherchi, letterato e poeta, parlò del movimento dei Novissimi, suo fratello Sandro, scultore, di Kline, Birolli e molti altri sono i saggi ancor oggi importanti per la storia della letteratura e dell'arte in Italia. Ferruccio Battolini ha donato la sua collezione d'arte al Comune della Spezia e questo volume esce dopo molti anni per ricordarlo.

Descrive l'intreccio fra le trasformazioni del paese e quelle della stampa, i cambiamenti del linguaggio del fotogiornalismo in rapporto alle mutate richieste della società.

L'industria della carta in Italia e all'estero
In 8 (cm 17 x 24), pp. 14 + (2b). Brossura editoriale. Breve saggio sulla produzione della carta in Italia. Luigi Burgo fondo' nel 1905 la Societa' in accomandita semplice Cartiera di Verzuolo ing. L. Burgo. Nel 1908 creava l'impianto idroelettrico di Venasca nella Valle Varaita che permise di produrre a Verzuolo la carta di giornale. Altri ampliamenti furono fatti negli anni a seguire fino a quando, nel primo dopoguerra, la cartiera Burgo divenne il maggiore centro di produzione della carta nazionale.
