Text is located centrally within a cartouche and surrounded by three coats of arms to the top - those of New France Quebec and Canada - and a branch of three maple leaves at the bottom. Flags hang at either side along with weaponry and nautical equipment from the colonial period. At the base of the cartouche is an illustration of a ship at sea. Illustrated by Jean Kerhor.
