The tour looks best when the window is maximized to fit the monitor. 1. There are two different types of images in this tour: Flat image files are used for the floor plan and special detail images. Some of the flat images are vertical images in a horizontal window. You will have to navigate up and down to see the full image. These images zoom in on fine detail with more resolution than the normal iPIX files. The 360 degree images are full spherical images that can be navigated with your mouse and a few simple menu commands. You will have a full view of the area as if you were standing in the camera position. The view includes the ceiling and the floor with the tripod in the image. The tripod has a piece of yellow tape on one of the legs. That marked leg is pointing to "Building North" in all of the images. You will be able to be able to navigate the images with ease. 2. Right click on the open image and select the command "show hotspot targets". Each target on the floor plan will take you to the corresponding iPIX image for viewing. 3. Hot spots in the images are color coded as follows: Magenta spots link to iPIX 360 Degree images. Red spots link to the flat detail images. Green spots link to the floor plan. 4. Navigate the image by moving your cursor in the direction you want to go and holding down the left mouse button. You will notice that near the center of the image the cursor becomes a magnifying glass. Just above center of the image the glass has a for zooming in on the image. The center's expertise in five core technologies: hydrogen remediation waste management sensors and robotics--is described in the pages of this document. The original Savannah River Laboratory included five main facilities: a main laboratory for process development and experimental research; the Waste Disposal Facility to handle waste created by the laboratory; the Pile Physics laboratory which contained experimental reactors; and CMX and TNX. The Savannah River Site is a nuclear reservation in the United States in the state of South Carolina located on land in Aiken Allendale and Barnwell counties adjacent to the Savannah River 25 miles southeast of Augusta Georgia. The site was built during the 1950s to refine nuclear materials for deployment in nuclear weapons. The TEF provides the means to extract tritium from tritium-bearing targets irradiated in commercial light water reactors and is located in SRS's H Area. Approximately 600 workers were employed during peak construction and the facility has an operations staff of approximately 100 permanent employees. There are three major structures: the Remote Handling Building RHB Tritium Processing Building TPB and Tritium Support Building TSB. The U.S. Department of Energy DOE is responsible for ensuring that the nation has a supply of materials sufficient to maintain its nuclear weapons stockpile at levels directed by the President of the United States. One of these materials is tritium - a gaseous isotope of hydrogen that increases the yield of nuclear weapons. None of the weapons in the nuclear arsenal would be capable of functioning as designed without tritium. As long as the United States chooses to maintain a nuclear deterrent - of any size - it will need tritium. The Savannah River Site's SRS Tritium Facilities are designed and operated to supply and process tritium a radioactive form of hydrogen gas that is a vital component of nuclear weapons.
