This novel goes back to 1850 bringing the sweep of an untamed country and shows the reader the beauty of uncut Canada skating parties and mosquitoes as big as dragons-- as well as jealousies fierce attachments and unexpected humor Turquoise cloth gilt titled clean and unmarked with corner wear and scuff to top edge of front panel. Tight and solid. Front endpaper is missingand there is a crack in the hinge on the upper part of the hinge. Interior is clean and unmarked. Vintage jacket is clipped clean and bright unmarked with heavy wear and chipping of spine head tail and upper edge.
