Il volume segue le tracce del maiale nella più remota storia europea, la sua presenza nella letteratura a partire da Omero fino ai giorni nostri, il suo ruolo nelle tradizioni popolari e a "tavola". Il progetto si avvale delle ricerche dell'associazione Homo Edens.
